5 Baltimore Orioles Who Belong on the Trade Block Right Now

The Baltimore Orioles are likely to be contenders well into the season, so if anything general manager Dan Duquette will be looking to add pieces for a potential playoff run.

The Orioles do have tradeable assets though, and here are five players that should be on the trade block right now.

Flaherty is on the disabled list right now with a strained right groin, which by itself is a detriment to his trade value. But he is a utility infielder, and the Orioles have better, younger options that can fill the same role.

4. RP Tommy Hunter

A reliever's early season ERA can be deceiving, but Hunter's currently sits at 6.48 even after three straight scoreless outings. How he pitched in 2013 and 2014 (2.88 combined ERA over 128 appearances) is an outlier in the scope of his career, so Hunter's trade value may still be solid in the short-term.

3. SP Bud Norris

Norris is coming off a good outing, as he allowed three runs to the Boston Red Sox over 6.2 innings on Sunday and picked up his first win of the season. A couple bad starts have inflated his ERA to this point (12.18 over four starts), but the Orioles can easily replace Norris in the starting rotation and his contract expires after the season.

2. SP Ubaldo Jimenez

Jimenez has made his bad contract a little more tolerable early this season, with a 2.30 ERA over three starts. But one outing was shortened by an ejection for hitting a batter, and his last start was not great (four runs allowed over five innings). The Orioles may have to include some money to cover the $26.5 million he is due in 2016 and 2017, but if it means getting something valuable for Jimenez that shouldn't keep a trade from happening.

1. OF/DH Delmon Young

Young had a big game on Sunday, going 3-for-6 with five RBI and three runs scored, and he has multiple hits four times in his last five games with a .474 batting average (9-for-19) over that span. Now may the time for Baltimore to trade the former No. 1 overall pick, with a cold streak sure to come at some point.

Orioles' Manny Machado Absolutely Clobbers Spring Training HR

Manny Machado appears to be primed to take MLB by storm in 2016. Considering how solid he's already been in his career, it's scary to think that at just 23 years old, he hasn't come close to reaching his peak yet. Expect to see plenty of home runs like this one throughout the new campaign.

Watch Manny Machado Flash The Leather With Epic Diving Stop

The Baltimore Orioles begin spring training without a ton of expectations nationally, but could be a sleeper team to make the playoffs in a somewhat weak AL East. Third baseman Manny Machado showcased some superb defense on Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox with this diving play, which foreshadows what you can expect from him in 2016 at the hot corner.
