The Los Angeles Dodgers are leading the National League West with a 27-17 record right now, despite being hampered by injuries to multiple key players.

With the first of June on the horizon, here are five players the Dodgers should move before July's trade deadline.

Yasmani Grandal is close to returning from a concussion, and Ellis is hitting just .116 with one RBI over 43 at-bats this season. He has value as essentially Clayton Kershaw's personal catcher, but the Dodgers would be better off trying to trade Ellis once Grandal is back with the team.

Hernandez has seen time in the outfield (eight games), at shortstop (four games) and at second base (one game) this season. His youth (23 years old) also makes him an intriguing trade chip, particularly if the Dodgers are able to pull of a big deal.

3. RP J.P. Howell

Howell has a 0.84 ERA over 15 appearances this season, but despite no reported physical issue he has only made one appearance since May 12. A left-handed veteran bullpen arm always has some trade value, and Howell is that asset for the Dodgers.

2. RP Joel Peralta

Peralta has resumed throwing after being sidelined by a shoulder and neck issue in late-April, so he may be able to return fairly soon. If he pitches well upon his return, another team should see value in Peralta as a mid-to-late inning bullpen piece.

Uribe only has 30 plate appearances in May, and his playing time is likely to dwindle further once Hector Olivera is ready to go. A potential trade to the Atlanta Braves was voided by the other veteran reported to be involved in the deal (Alberto Callaspo), but barring something completely unforeseen Uribe's days as a Dodger are nearly done.
