Karl-Anthony Towns, NBA Draft — The Minnesota Timberwolves will finish with one of the NBA's worst records again this season, and they are in position to add an impact player with one of the first picks in June's draft.

5. Frank Kaminsky, C, Wisconsin

Kaminsky is by far the most unlikely player on this list to land with the Timberwolves, barring a trade down or a deal to land another first-round pick. But a big man with a diverse skill set definitely would have a place in Minnesota.

4. Dez Wells, G/F, Maryland

Wells has a NBA frame (6'5", 215 lbs), and he'll come into the league after four years of college experience. He will likely be a second-round pick if he's drafted at all, but Wells is the kind of solid all-around talent and stat sheet filler the Timberwolves largely lack.

Cauley-Stein would fit as the athletic shot blocker and rebounder the Timberwolves need, even if his offensive game is limited. If the lottery ping pong balls don't quite go their way, he would be a solid consolation prize.

Okafor had a very good single season at Duke, averaging 17.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.3 assists per game for the national champions. The Timberwolves have never had the No. 1 overall pick though, so they may need some unprecedented lottery luck to get Okafor.

It would be an upset if Towns is not the first of this year's Kentucky contingent to be drafted, and he's a rare big man that is proficient from the free-throw line (81.3 percent this past season). If they fall past No. 2 overall when the lottery takes place, the Timberwolves would probably have no chance to draft Towns.
