LeBron James and Nike have already made boatloads of money together, and they went to great lengths today to make sure they keep doing so for the rest of forever. Literally.

King James has signed what is essentially a lifetime deal today. Nike announced the move in a statement:

“We can confirm that we have agreed to a lifetime relationship with LeBron that provides significant value to our business, brand and shareholders. We have already built a strong LeBron business over the past 12 years, and we see the potential for this to continue to grow throughout his playing career and beyond.”

This is sure to get LeBron haters riled up. Say what you want about him on the basketball court, the guy is a smart business man and has branded himself incredibly well over the years. Not like he would have had to worry about money anyways, but he could be the only person to ever approach Michael Jordan‘s status with Nike (in terms of the brand, not the dollars).

To the LeBron haters, this is all I have to say.
