The Portland Trail Blazers are headed for the playoffs this season, barring a late collapse, with a 37-35 record that currently has them holding the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference. With Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum in place as one of the NBA‘s best backcourts, here are five players who won’t be back in Portland next season.
5. SG Pat Connaughton

Connaughton has not found much room in Portland's rotation during his rookie season, averaging less than four minutes per game in just 28 games played. It's safe to assume a better chance for playing time can be found elsewhere, probably with a team that is not playoff-caliber.

Kaman has only played 14 games for Portland this season, and he's slated to become a free agent this summer. Being re-signed at a league minimum salary is possible, but it's far more likely Kaman lands elsewhere or retires.

Roberts eventually landed in Portland around the trade deadline, and he has done little in 13 games with the Trail Blazers. With a contract that expires after the season, Roberts should find a better opportunity for playing time on another team.
2. PF Moe Harkless

Harkless has a $4 million qualifying offer that technically ties him to Portland next season, but his production (5.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game) and role (17.4 minutes per game) this year should make it easy for the team to move on.

Henderson has been a solid bench piece for Portland this season, averaging 8.4 points per game over 19.4 minutes per contest, and Lillard has lauded his role as a leader. But Henderson is set to be a free agent this offseason, and it's difficult to see the Trail Blazers making a strong effort to bring him back.
