The Arkansas Razorbacks are the most dangerous team in the SEC going into the 2014-15 college basketball season. Everyone knows what they’re getting with the Kentucky Wildcats and Florida Gators, but the Razorbacks are an enigma with talent, youth, experience and depth all over the court. Arkansas has the capability to win the SEC, but at the same time, has the potential to finish in the bottom half.

The Razorbacks will return key players in Rashad Madden and Bobby Portis. Madden is an elite scorer in the SEC, and Portis is one of the best returning all-around players in the country. These two gave the eventual national championship runners-up Kentucky fits last season in their two victories over the Wildcats, and they should do more of the same this season.

On top of Portis and Madden, Arkansas boasts Michael Qualls, Alandise Harris, Anthlon Bell and Moses Kingsley, who are all players with at least 30 games of experience last season. The Razorbacks’ rotation is nearly flawless, which will help them late in games against opponents who are thought to be superior.

In non-conference play, Arkansas faces tough, but winnable games against Iowa State, Clemson, Dayton and SMU. Next to these four opponents, the Razorbacks should have easy wins in non-conference play, meaning that they should enter conference play with around 10 wins. These 10 wins should be the perfect boost for a relatively easy conference schedule, which sees them face Kentucky and Florida only once each.

Do not sleep on Arkansas, because this team is talented and underrated – two things that make big waves once the NCAA tournament begins.
