The North Carolina Tar Heels visit the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Wednesday night in an ACC tilt.

The Tar Heels and head coach Roy Williams are 14-4 on the season, 4-1 in the ACC and are ranked 15th in the country. North Carolina has won three straight heading into Wednesday’s contest. In their most recent game, the Tar Heels topped the Virginia Tech Hokies 68-53 on Sunday.

All-American guard Marcus Paige continues to lead the Heels in scoring, averaging 13.6 points per game. Paige is battling foot and ankle injuries, but has played through those problems to lead North Carolina. Big man Kennedy Meeks averages 12.6 points and a team-best 8.4 rebounds per contest. Brice Johnson is the other Tar Heel scoring in double figures, averaging 11.3 per outing.

Wake Forest is 9-9 this season, including a 1-4 mark in the ACC. Wake has lost three of its last four, including a tough 86-83 loss on the road to the Syracuse Orange in their last game.

Danny Manning, who led the Kansas Jayhawks to a national title as a player, is in his first year as head coach at Wake Forest. His team took some ugly losses early in the season, but has played competitively in its five ACC contests.

Junior guard Codi Miller-McIntyre leads the Demon Deacons in scoring, averaging 13.3 points per game. Junior Devin Thomas scores 12.9 points per game and leads the team in rebounding (9.7 per contest).

Wake struggles on the defensive end of the floor, giving up 69.1 points per game (247th in the country). That will be bad news for them against a potent North Carolina offense. The Heels are 19th in the country in scoring, averaging 79.0 points per game.

Final score prediction: North Carolina 82, Wake Forest 69
