Wisconsin vs. Oklahoma: College Basketball Game Preview, Prediction, TV Schedule

The No. 7 Oklahoma Sooners and Wisconsin Badgers both began the season with the expectations of being dark horses to win their respective conferences, but where the former has shined early on in the season, the latter has struggled. These two teams will face off on Sunday, as Oklahoma looks to get a marquee win over a quality opponent and Wisconsin looks to get their season back on track.

The undefeated Sooners have begun the season with three comfortable wins, including a resumé-boosting away victory over the Memphis Tigers. Buddy Hield has been absolutely fantastic so far this season, averaging over 25 points per game and 5.7 rebounds. Hield will continue to get his points game in and game out, but it will be the play of Ryan Spangler, Jordan Woodard and Isaiah Cousins that allows OU to keep pace with the rest of the Big 12.

Wisconsin, on the other hand, already have two losses on the season, including an opening loss to Western Illinois. Since then, however, the Badgers have put together a nice stretch of games, going 4-1 with a win over the VCU Rams. Bronson Koenig and Nigel Hayes seem to be the most consistent players on the floor every night for Wisconsin, but the Badgers desperately need other players to show signs of being reliable.

Oklahoma should easily beat Wisconsin at home, as the Badgers’ inconsistent offense will struggle to find a rhythm against the stout Sooners’ defense. Wisconsin will likely work their way back into the NCAA tournament bubble discussion, but it will not be through a win over Oklahoma.

Prediction: Oklahoma 76, Wisconsin 64
