The Florida State Seminoles are on the verge of making the College Football Playoff. However, they will have to get through the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the ACC title game to achieve that feat.
While Florida State has yet to lose a game on the year — has come close way too many times — Georgia Tech has lost two. Both of those losses game in consecutive weeks, and the Yellow Jackets have won five games in a row since. Not to mention, they have also knocked off the Clemson Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs in back-to-back games.
They have already gotten the nation’s attention by knocking off those two teams, but just imagine what would happen if the Yellow Jackets were able to pull off the upset against the Seminoles. For one, FSU would not make the playoff.
Although Florida State has been in close game after close game this year, it has still managed to win every single one. The team has had some very shaky starts and the same thing can be said about Jameis Winston, but none of that matters if the team wins another championship.
Although stopping Georgia Tech’s running game will be no easy task (No. 4 in the county in rushing yards per game), stopping Winston and the rest of the Seminoles won’t be the easiest thing in the world either.
In the end, it is hard to go against a team that won a title last year and has yet to lose a game this year. Who knows how the Seminoles will start off the game, but Winston will lead his team to victory in the ACC championship.
