TV Schedule: Saturday, October 10, 12:00 p.m. ET, ESPN

Stadium: Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, La.

Line: LSU (-13.5)

It was announced earlier today that the venue for the LSUSouth Carolina game would be relocated to Baton Rouge because of the severe flooding affecting areas of South Carolina. After consulting with state and local officials, law enforcement, the SEC and both schools, it was decided that the tragedies faced by South Carolina and the ongoing recovery efforts did not need to be disrupted by a football game.

Game details are still being finalized, but one thing is certain: not even floods can stop Leonard Fournette and the No. 7 Tigers. Fournette, who is leading the FBS in rushing yards, is quickly becoming a Heisman favorite. And unfortunately for the Gamecocks, Tiger Stadium is colloquially known as Death Valley or Where Opponents’ Dreams Go to Die.

Even if that were not the case, South Carolina players are likely more concerned with what’s happening in their home state than throwing around some pigskin, and rightfully so. However, that is something you just can’t do against the No. 1 team in the SEC West at the moment.

LSU is currently 4-0 after their first game of the season was cancelled due to weather. Even without that easy test against McNeese State, they won their season opener at Mississippi State in a revenge game of last year’s shocking loss at Death Valley. While some Tiger fans worried about an SEC road game being the first test of the season for sophomore QB Brandon Harris, they need not have done so. LSU won 21-19 and beat Auburn a week later (45-21).

South Carolina hasn’t been as lucky this year. The Gamecocks are 0-3 in SEC play and have been allowing 388.8 yards per game. Fournette alone averages 216 and is already being compared to SEC greats Herschel Walker and Bo Jackson.

If that’s not enough to convince you that LSU will walk away with a win, consider this: LSU is 62-9 in Death Valley under Les Miles. South Carolina hasn’t won in Baton Rouge since 1994, and the only other time South Carolina came out on top was in 1930.

Miles will do whatever it takes to keep his home loss record under 10, and there isn’t much South Carolina can do to change that.

Prediction: LSU 34, South Carolina 21
