The Indianapolis Colts are trying to take the next step toward a Super Bowl, and the 2015 draft provided an opportunity for general manager Ryan Grigson to add talent to the roster.

That said, here are five players the Colts should have selected in this year's draft.

I think Phillip Dorsett was a significant reach with the 29th overall pick, particularly since wide receiver was not a top need for the Colts. If they wanted to add another target for Andrew Luck, McBride should have been the choice much later in the draft.

4. Jay Ajayi, RB, Boise State

Simply put, Indianapolis waited too long (sixth round) to draft a running back. They would have been better-served using their fourth-round pick (109th overall) on Ajayi, even with concerns about potential knee issues, or a move up a few picks in the fifth round to get him would have been worth it.

Williams was arrested for DUI in early April, and even though his case was later dismissed his draft stock fell. NFL Network's Mike Mayock thinks Williams can play corner or safety at the next level, so the Colts should have taken him with their first third-round pick (65th overall) .

2. Landon Collins, S, Alabama

Collins would have been a good fit for the Colts late in the first round, as the clear top player in a weak safety class and a likely immediate contributor.

The Colts need to add high upside talent along the defensive line. Brown was available when their turn came at No. 29 overall, despite being ranked higher than that on the "big board" of most draft analysts, so failing to draft him looks like a serious missed opportunity.
