Jacob Coker And The 10 Biggest 2016 NFL Combine Snubs

The NFL Combine is such an important part of the pre-draft process as it gives draft prospects an opportunity to put all their skills on display in front of scouts, coaches and general managers. It also provides an opportunity to sit down in the interview room and answer any sort of questions that teams may have. Unfortunately, these 11 guys weren’t afforded that opportunity as they were snubbed from the 2016 NFL Combine.

11. CB Morgan Burns, Kansas State

Burns likely won't be able to earn a job as defensive back in the NFL, but he will be able a role as a returner as he has blazing speed. It would've been exciting to see what kind of time he could've produced in the 40-yard dash, but we'll have to wait until his pro day to find out.

10. LB Reggie Northrup, Florida State

Northrup was one of the Seminoles' leaders on defense in 2015, but he didn't receive a combine invite on account of his size. He only stands 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds which is certainly small for a NFL outside linebacker, but sometimes production outweighs measurables.

9. WR Daniel Braverman, Western Michigan

Braverman had a massive 2015 season as he reeled in 108 catches for 1,367 yards and 13 touchdowns which led him to declare early for the NFL Draft. Not receiving a combine invite is a huge disappointment for Braverman.

8. RB Travis Greene, Bowling Green

Greene had a brilliant career at Bowling Green after rushing for 3,842 yards and 38 touchdowns during his last three seasons on campus. It would've been huge for him to be in Indianapolis.

7. QB Marquise Williams, North Carolina

Williams was the best quarterback in the ACC in 2015 not named Deshaun Watson. He completed 61.3 percent of his passes for 3,072 yards, 24 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions. Williams definitely needs some work, but I thought he at least deserved an invite.

6. WR Robby Anderson, Temple

Anderson desperately needs to put on some weight as he was listed at 175 at Temple, but on his 6-foot-3 frame it shouldn't be too difficult. He registered 70 catches for 939 yards and seven touchdowns despite playing in a run-heavy offense. It would've been nice for him to be able to show his stuff in Indianapolis.

5. OL Chase Farris, Ohio State

Farris had a rough year playing right tackle for Ohio State, but coaches at the East-West Shrine Game kicked him inside to guard and he performed much better. It's not a huge deal for an offensive lineman to miss the combine, but still feels like a snub.

4. WR Jay Lee, Baylor

Lee brought in 38 passes for 758 yards and eight touchdowns in 2015 for the Bears. He also impressed at the Senior Bowl, but was snubbed nonetheless.

3. RB Aaron Green, TCU

Green was the leading rusher for one of the top offenses in the country, but he didn't get an invite. It would've been nice to see what his 40 time would be, but he'll have to wait til his pro day.

2. QB Jake Rudock, Michigan

Rudock transferred from Iowa and led Michigan to 10 wins in 2015. He completed 64 percent of his passes for 3,017 yards, 20 touchdowns and only nine interceptions. Not receiving a combine invite is a huge shot to his chances of getting drafted.

1. QB Jacob Coker, Alabama

Coker did an amazing job in the second half of the season leading the Crimson Tide to the College Football Playoff Championship. He has a good arm, decent mobility and showed in the two biggest games of the year that he could get the job done. I'm shocked he didn't get an invite.
