Stepping Up
After losing their 3rd straight game Tuesday night in St. Louis, the Hawks looked for a spark in Minnesota to break their losing streak, and they got it from 2 unfamiliar characters in Thomas Kopecky and Ben Eager, leading the Hawks to a 4-0 victory over the Minnesota Wild. This win put the Hawks over the 100 point mark for the second season in a row, the first back to back seasons with 100 points since the early 70’s. Antti Niemi got the start in the second game of a back to back, and looked brilliant, saving all 21 shots thrown at him for his 21st victory and 7th shutout.
