Are the Gladiators Still a Playoff Team?
Before the 2010 AFL season began, a lot of people thought the Cleveland Gladiators were serious contenders to win this year’s ArenaBowl. After a 1-3 start, however, there seem to be more question marks than answers. Cleveland’s first two losses were heartbreaking, and they could have gone either way. The Gladiators then traveled to Oklahoma City and suffered a very disappointing loss. After a bye in week four, the team traveled to Spokane and were on the edge of starting 0-4. The Shock scored the go-ahead-touchdown with very little time remaining, but Cleveland receiver Brent Holmes returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown to seal the team’s first win of the year.
