Déjà vu: Hawks Beat Canucks, Advance to Conference Finals
(No Rants)For the second straight May 11th, the Blackhawks have eliminated the Vancouver Canucks in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals. The Blackhawks defeated the Canucks, 5-1, and have advanced on to the Western Conference Finals. The Blackhawks scored three second period goals, and two in the third, which was enough to beat the Canucks. Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo was solid in the first period, but unfortunately for the Canucks, everything fell apart after that. The Blackhawks struck first when Troy Brouwer scored his first goal of the playoffs. Brouwer had been a scratch in the games prior to Tuesday, but was given the chance to play in Game 6, and he took advantage. Just 36 seconds later, the Hawks would strike again. Kris Versteeg...
