Bullpen Fails Santana Again
(No Rants)Painful losses are nothing new to Mets fans, but this year they all seem to happen to the same person. Once again the Mets let down Johan Santana. The Wednesday letdown was combined effort from the offense and the bullpen. The Padres won 5-1 on an 11th-inning walk-off grand slam off the bat of Adrian Gonzalez and the Mets sunk back to .500. In four of Santana’s past five starts the Mets have allowed the opposing team to score in the 9th inning (or later) to win or tie the game. Its like getting kicked in groin after successfully asking out the prettiest girl in school. The good news for Santana is that he hasn’t lost any of these game, in fact he hasn’t lost in over a month. The bad news is that he’s only got one win...
