Jays Prove that Yanks are No Rays!
(No Rants)After losing two of three in the final frame to the AL East’s first place Tampa Bay Rays, Toronto made no mistake last night against the second place New York Yankees. By jumping out to an early lead, thanks in part to Jose Bautista’s major league leading 17th and 18th home runs, the rest of the Jays squad were able to pick up the remaining offensive slack. While on the mound, Toronto pitcher Brett Cecil threw an 8 inning, 1 run gem to help secure a 6-1 win for the blue birds. The most interesting point to be drawn from this Blue Jays victory may have been noted by Tampa Bay.
