(No Rants)Remember when drafting Derrick Rose over Michael Beasley over Derrick Rose was a widely criticized move by analysts and others craving a big man? Drafting Rose a few years back might have been a franchise-saving move today. Imagine a roster in which the only players currently under contract are Mario Chalmers and Beasley. The former was benched in December after starting all 82 games a rookie. The latter is persona non grata on South Beach, or anywhere else for that matter considering no one is beating down the front door to acquire the former No. 2 overall pick who will be in his third season next year.
