(No Rants)The Mets had a great month of June, they were 18-8 and climbed into second place. They closed the gap on the division leader by two games from 3.5 to 1.5 games. June was highlighted by an 11-4 interleague stretch and an 8-game win streak. The Mets were 9-3 at home and 9-5 away from Citi Field, a complete turnaround from the 7-17 road record the first two months. Mets Hitting: In the month of June, the Mets hit .274 and slugged .424, 40 points higher than their opponents. They outscored the opponents 126 to 93 and is one of the reasons they were 18-8 in the month. It looks like the lineup with Reyes leading off and the 3-4-5 combo of Wright-Davis-Bay is working.
