(No Rants)The Tampa Bay Rays squandered an opportunity to climb within 1 game of the New York Yankees last night. Tampa also wasted a pitching gem by David Price. Price pitched an 8 inning complete game surrendering only 4 hits, recording 6 strikeouts and allowing 2 earned runs. Price was charged with the loss. The difference in last nights game was that even though the Twins only had 4 hits, they made them count. Tampa had 9 hits last night but they were only 1-8 with runners in scoring position, leaving 10 men on base, 6 in the last three innings. Recently, Tampa has been able to make average pitchers look like Cy Young candidates, and last night was no different. After the first inning, Tampa was not able to mount much of anything against Twins pitcher...
