Louisville Head Coach Rick Pitino Pokes Some Fun at Star Players on Website
Louisville head coach Rick Pitino took some time on Wednesday to talk about some of his players’ individual workouts. Pitino did some blogging on his own personal website to speak about his players after three days of instruction.
Most of the information that Pitino listed focused upon his players’ strengths and what they need to work on.
However, while no coach will be keen to throw out a full rundown of their players and their attributes, Pitino used the post to have a little fun with some of his star performers.
Peyton Siva, who will once again be the leader for this Cardinals’ squad in 2012-13, appears to be continuously impressing Pitino, as the Louisville head man simply listed, “not much” in his areas to work on.
As for Russ Smith and Gorgui Dieng, well Pitino took the time to poke a little fun in each of their sections.
For Smith’s “needs to work on” section, Pitino simply wrote: My website not big enough (JK).
You may remember Smith’s joking antics during this Pitino interview late last season:
Yea, I’d say Smith still has the upper hand. Or should I say, “Russdiculous”
As for Dieng however, who should be among the top big men in the Big East in 2012-13, Pitino commented by saying he “needs to work on,” conditioning. Senegal must be a party country. I think he must have a butler when he goes home.
Either that or Dieng was just working on these nifty passes:
Humor aside, Pitino knows he has a squad fresh off a Final Four run, and with most of his key players back for 2012-13, the Cardinals will once again be a force to reckon with this season.
