Newly acquired Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Lee Evans practiced with his new teammates for the first time on Saturday–just one day after being traded from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a fourth-round pick. Not only does Evans look to fill a void left by Derrick Mason, but he’ll attempt to do so by wearing the same number as the former Raven–No. 85.

“It’ll probably change,” said Evans when asked about his jersey number at practice courtesy of the Associated Press. “It’s the only available one right now.”

Evans wore No. 83 during the seven years he spent in Buffalo and hopes to provide Baltimore with another weapon in the passing game for Joe Flacco–which they could use. Numerous teams expressed interest in acquiring Evans from the Bills, but the Ravens–who have reached the playoffs in each of the last three seasons–seemed to be the perfect landing spot for the former first-round pick considering he’s yet to experience the postseason.

With all due respect to the Bills, hopefully the upgrade at quarterback in Flacco will help Evans cross the 1,000-yard mark for the third time in his career.
