Purdue senior Robbie Hummel was not imagining swinging the ball to a Ryne Smith or dumping it down low to Travis Carroll. After all the injuries and hard work to be back on the hardwood, he can’t see E’Twaun Moore or JuJuan Johnson anywhere insight. Their last season they played together They averaged 16.4, 15.7, 15.5 points a game respectively. This season it is all Robbie Hummel’s team, starting off the season hot averaging 21 points, but Purdue only winning their last two games by a combined 3 points against Iona and High Point. Who is going to help Hummel this season step up and finish team’s off? Ryne Smith has stepped up so far averaging 16.3 points and Anthony Johnson a similar type player to Moore averaging 11 points. Purdue’s non conference schedule is very weak which will help them build chemistry and get wins they will before the hard long Big Ten season kicks off late December. Look for Robbie Hummel to carry this team forward and to have a great senior season.
