Evanston, Illinois — The Northwestern Wildcats will play host to the high flying Big 12 Baylor Bears today. Undefeated to this point, Northwestern will have their hands full with the lengthy athletic front court of Baylor. Baylor gets a big boost from the return of Perry Jones III who was out the first 7 seven games. Look for John Shurna and Drew Crawford to take their game to the next level for Northwestern to compete and win. John Shurna is averaging 20 points a game, while Drew Crawford is adding 17.6 points a game. Another key spot for Northwestern is the play of true freshmen point guard Dave Sobolewski. He has started every game thus far, but will be facing a Baylor team that has about five future NBA players. If Northwestern wants to make the big dance this year, this is a huge resume booster and a taste of what to expect come March.
