It looks like there might be a major urban renewal coming to the banks of the Olentagy in the form of former Florida Gators head coach Urban Meyer.
According to conflicting media reports via Twitter, former Florida Gator head coach and current ESPN analyst, Urban Meyer is in talks to become the next Ohio State football coach. Scout.com writer, Mike Freeman via Twitter, was the first to report the Meyer contract would later deny and retract his initial report as a “dumb rumor”.
Meyer was also the Buckeyes tight end coach in 1986 and wide receivers coach in 1987.
The 47-year old Toledo, Ohio native would replace interim head coach, Luke Fickell and is believed to be finalizing a deal of seven years and $35 million dollars.
