Big 12 Preview Game 1: Kansas State Vs. Southern Miss
PITTSBURGH, PA — Frank Martin and the Kansas State Wildcats will take their 21-10 record and face the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in the 2nd round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. Kansas State swept Missouri this season, and also beat Baylor. Frank Martin had this to say about their opponent in Southern Miss:
“When Larry Eustachy coached at BCS schools, his teams were known as the hardest playing teams in the country and that has not changed. Southern Miss may not be on TV as much as other schools but we are getting ready to face a tough team.”
Southern Miss beat Memphis earlier this season and also took Murray State to overtime. Their line-up is dangerous and can present a lot of problems for Kansas State. Tip-off is at 12:40pm(est) on Thursday.
