The Kansas Jayhawks finished their trip in Europe with a loss to the AMW France Prop Team on Sunday. Head Coach Bill Self had announced before the game that his three seniors; Elijah Johnson, Travis Releford and Jeff Withey would not play in the game. Ben McLemore also sat for the Jayhawks, recovering from injury.
Former Washington Wizard forward Kevin Seraphin scored 9 points in the final quarter, and the Jayhawks scored just 10 in the 19 point loss. The loss was following a one point loss to the AMW team on Saturday.
Out of the 14 players that suited up for the game; 10 of them were freshmen. Kansas led 34-31 at halftime, but saw AMV outscored them 24-16 in the third quarter. The Jayhawks were led by freshman Perry Ellis. Ellis scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the game. Andrew White also had a nice game for Kansas, with 15 points, including 3-three pointers.
Kansas went 2-2 on their foreign trip to Switzerland and Paris.
The Jayhawks will spend one more day in Paris on Monday and then return to the United States.
