Memphis Joining Big East Next Year

If you thought all this conference realignment news was over, you were wrong. Conference-USA school Memphis will officially join the Big East Conference for the 2013-14 season.

The Big East is expected to announce this Wednesday.

Memphis will be joining to the list of schools joining the Big East in the coming years that includes Central Florida, Houston, SMU, Navy, San Diego State and Boise State.

Memphis was a snub when the Big East realigned in 2005 and brought in Louisville instead. Now, with Memphis joining the Big East, the long-time rivalry between Louisville and Memphis will be renewed.
