Connecticut’s Jeremy Lamb Edges Villanova In Overtime
PHILADELPHIA, Pa — The Connecticut Huskies have been struggling, losing 9 out of their last 13 games, and playing their sixth straight game without their head coach Jim Calhoun. Monday night, Connecticut played Villanova on the road and got the biggest production of the year from Jeremy Lamb with 32 points in their 73-70 overtime victory. This is a huge win for the Huskies, after being down 24-8 early in 1st half, they used a 15-2 run to tie the game 30-30 at halftime. Tied at 70-70, with 5 seconds left, Shabazz Napier hit a huge three point shot with 0.2 seconds left to seal the victory. Jeremy Lamb stepped up in a big way and will need to keep doing so as they host #2 Syracuse this Saturday for College Gameday. The Huskies now are 17-10 overall and 7-8 in Big East play.
