This Jeremy Lamb dunk attempt summed up UCONN’s effort against Iowa State perfectly. The game was already decided and Lamb attempted a wide open windmill dunk. He failed epically.
Iowa State was in command the entire game. The closest UCONN got was six points. Lamb, Andre Drummond, and Shabazz Napier just didn’t do enough to get UCONN over the hump.
The future of Jim Calhoun is uncertain. I’m sure plays like this aren’t encouraging him to stick around much longer. If you have players that are attempting dunks down 13 with under ten seconds left, would you want to coach them? I sure wouldn’t.
