Alabama Basketball Program Suspends Top Scorer Among Others
This has been a tough week for the Alabama Crimson Tide. After already suspending guard Tony Mitchell earlier in the week, head coach Anthony Grant has decided to suspend three more players due to a violation of team rules.
JaMychal Green, Andrew Steele and Trevor Relaford were all suspended Saturday. Alabama is 16-7 on the year and 5-4 in conference play and will be without four of their top six scorers for an indefinite amount of time.
The biggest blow comes to the loss of Green. He is the team’s leading scorer and rebounder averaging 14.1 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game.
The way it looks right now, Alabama will have a hard time regaining composure and probably lose out on a tournament berth.
