Sarah Kaufman is a welcome addition to Invicta FC
I want to find whoever makes matches for Invicta Fighting Championships and send them flowers because they have done it again. On August 27 it was announced that former Strikeforce women’s champion Sarah Kaufman will be looking to get back on the winning track as she faces Kaitlin Young at Invicta FC 3. On a [...]
TweetUFC News: Daniel Cormier will Face Frank Mir: Tim Sylvia is Shocked
It was announced a few weeks ago that the Strikeforce heavyweight grand-prix winner Daniel Cormier will be facing UFC heavyweight and former champion Frank Mir. This will definitely be an interesting match-up for both fighters. Cormier has excellent striking and Mir has excellent submissions, but who will control the fight? This is old news but [...]

TweetVideo: Bob Sapp taps to strikes in 15 seconds
Dan Henderson recently got into a tiff with Rampage Jackson over Rampage’s showing at UFC 144, arguing that Rampage just showed up for a cheque. TweetNostalgia: Hayato Sakurai vs Frank Trigg
At one point, Hayato Sakurai could have been considered a top pound-for-pound fighter in the world. He was 16-0-2 and the Shooto 168 pound champion. In late 2000, he took on Frank Trigg, who was 7-0. Trigg of course would go on to challenge Matt Hughes twice, leading to one of the most memorable moments [...]

At one point, Showtime and EliteXC had a highly marketable fighter by the name of Kimbo Slice. Showtime also runs boxing events, and at the time of Slice’s peak, a boxer named Samuel Peter was doing well, having beaten James Toney twice and being in line to fight the Klitschko brothers. So of course, Showtime [...]
TweetVideo: Cage door causes double knockout
One of our early posts featured Shonie Carter refereeing a match that ended in a double knockout. This weekend, UFC 143 and the Super Bowl took place. In addition to these events, Hard Rock MMA 43 took place in Kentucky. Brandon Bishop and Braedon Ward were in round 1 of their match when this happened: [...]
TweetNostalgia: Fabricio Werdum can’t submit Vinny Magalhaes
Fabricio Werdum made a successful redebut in the UFC this weekend, beating up Roy Nelson. Werdum, of course, will be mostly remembered for being the 1st guy to beat Fedor Emelianenko, and Frank Mir recently stated that “Vai Cavalo” is the best heavyweight grappler out there. There was one guy that Werdum couldn’t submit though. [...]

TweetMike Tyson’s hotel room gets broken into
A weird ‘life imitates art’ situation happened on the weekend as Mike Tyson’s hotel room was broken into while Tyson and his family were sleeping. Nothing was reported stolen, and the thieves left as Tyson was waking up. That’s probably a good thing. No word on whether any tigers were involved.
