Kevin Youkilis is Engaged to Tom Brady’s Sister
Hard-nosed, throwback and tough. These are all words that have been frequently used to describe Boston Red Sox infielder / designated hitter Kevin (YOOOOOOOOOUK) Youkilis. Add engaged to that list. The Greek God of Walks is preparing to marry himself into the pantheon New England royalty; he’s engaged to Julie Brady, sister of Mr. Gisele, Tom Brady.
Youk apparently met Brady (Julie, not Tom) last year at the Patriots facility after their playoff loss to the New York Jets. He even made the trip to Indianapolis with her to watch his soon to be brother-in-law perform in an excruciating Super Bowl loss to the New York Giants … as if a player for the Red Sox needed any additional reason to despise New York, Youk can now play the family card.
Julie Brady is reportedly a teacher in the Boston area and has a five year old daughter. The proposal came recently, after the couple had been dating for a year. Apparently, Youkilis has an eye for women associated with famous New Englander’s, as he was “quasi-married” to Ben Affleck’s ex, except for a paperwork snafu that was never corrected.
If the gritty Red Sox infielder needed a boost to his image in Boston after a particularly poor 2011 season that saw him hit just .258 while appearing in 120 games for a Red Sox team that crushed the hopes of their fan base with an epic collapse, marrying a Brady is certainly a good start. With all of the turnover at the top levels of the Boston organization this year, it’s going to be important for respected, veteran players, such as Youk and Pedroia to step up in the locker room and lead. It will also be interesting to see how new manager Bobby Valentine takes control of the club in an effort to prevent them from another putrid September showing and another year out of the playoffs.
Let’s hope Julie learned a little bit of what NOT to do from her sister-in-law Gisele’s meltdown at the Super Bowl and keeps quiet in front of opposing fans.

Poorly written. Youk was married. How someone calls that a paperwork snafu is just insulting and crazy. As for comments regarding the Brady women and their relationship to Boston, that too, was disrespectful. Is it possible for a reporter to report unbiased news, even entertainment news, deflate the ego in regard to the fact that 98% of readers do not care about your opinion and speaking to professionalism, subscribe to pure journalism rather than, in this case, macho personal opinion.
I just want to see what the Miss Brady looks like, who cares how poorly written the article was. Did he get him a good catch, or is she a mud puppy which you usually throw back.
