Aaron Rodgers Stars In Milwaukee Brewers Promotional Ads
The Milwaukee Brewers are known for their creative promotional advertisements every year and this season seems to be no different. With multiple ads rolling out, Milwaukee’s marketing department decided to recruit one of the Brewers’ biggest fans to be involved.
Green Bay Packers quarterback and 2011 NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers will be seen in several Brewer advertisements throughout the baseball season. The ads will be released roughly every three weeks so expect to see Rodgers much more often than usual for this time of year.
The first ad featuring Rodgers, which was released Tuesday, is called “3-Step Drop.” Brewers general manager Doug Melvin and manager Ron Roenicke can be seen sitting in the stands with a radar gun that reads 101 MPH. Rodgers is then shown on the pitching mound dropping back three steps and throwing the baseball like a football to catcher Jonathan Lucroy.
“We have established a partnership with Aaron Rodgers, and these television spots showcase Aaron’s wit and sense of humor,” Rick Schlesinger, the team’s chief operating officer, said in a statement according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
It is outstanding that Rodgers is willing to do this for the Brewers as it gives him an opportunity to not only help out his favorite baseball team but also to show how much fun he loves to have. He clearly is a phenomenal football player but people fail to realize that he is also a special person who thoroughly enjoys helping out the community in any way he can.
There are many other ads featuring Brewer players such as one with newly acquired first baseman Mat Gamel and outfielder Norichika Aoki titled “Brewers Baseball Is A Universal Language.” Starting pitchers Shaun Marcum and Yovani Gallardo are featured in another one while Milwaukee’s new third baseman Aramis Ramirez is seen in an advertisement by himself.
