Washington Nationals Outfielder Bryce Harper Hits First Major League Home Run
It took him 15 games, but with no one on and two outs in the bottom of the third inning on Monday night, Washington Nationals rookie outfielder Bryce Harper hit his first major-league bomb against the San Diego Padres. Harper took a 2-1 Tyler Stauffer slider to straight away center field, ripping it into the grass just beyond the wall.Harper sped around the bases in a hurry and returned to smiles and tons of high fives in the Nats dugout.

The crowd, as small as it was, at Nationals Park went nuts. Even though there were so few fans,they still requested a curtain call from the superstar rookie. Harper obliged and went to the top of the dugout, acknowledging the fans, while waving his hands.
It was a solo homer that capped a three-run inning for Washington.
To say the least, Harpermania has begun. He was already playing incredible defense, but he has now hit his first long ball.
So what is next for the phenom outfielder? Well as I said, defense is already ridiculous.

Harper is only 19 years old, but he has taken MLB by storm. He will develop into the 5-tool player that we have all been promised. Once that happens, look for the Nats to be one of the best teams out there. With ace Stephen Strasburg throwing the ball better then ever, the Nats look to be on the verge of greatness.
I expect there will be plenty more bombs where this came from.
