Ozzie Guillen Quits Twitter
Today is a sad day in Twitterverse. Miami Marlins’ manager Ozzie Guillen is walking away from Twitter, leaving over 230,000 followers in the dust. Ozzie Guillen was never shy when it came to Twitter. Whether it was in English or Spanish, Ozzie Guillen didn’t hide his opinion a whole lot. In fact, this past winter, he planned on “killing people’s feelings“ in regards to what Jake Peavy had to say about his former skipper.
You won’t find someone who dislikes Ozzie Guillen more than I do. But I hate Ozzie Guillen for his managing, not his personality. I actually love Ozzie Guillen’s personality, and kind of miss it on the Southside of Chicago. I’ve said for many years Ozzie Guillen would be the perfect bench coach for a team, since bench coaches don’t do a whole lot besides ride the coattails of the manager. Plus, having that nutcase running around in the clubhouse would be good for entertainment.
As you can see from the video, if you can understand him, Ozzie Guillen was fed up with people mocking him, saying to his critics to find a real job. I can’t deny that I haven’t sent Ozzie Guillen a negative mention or two, so I guess I’m apart of the problem! Well, Ozzie, I’m sorry if your feelings were hurt. But you hurt my feelings by refusing to play Nick Swisher, using DeWayne Wise as a lead-off hitter, and pushing Kenny Williams to acquire Juan Pierre.
Too bad Joe Cowley disappeared from Twitter due to his mysoginistic rant a few weeks ago. Because Cowley has his head so far up Ozzie Guillen’s butt, he could tell us what Ozzie has for breakfast each day.
Needless to say, this is a sad day for Twitter. At least we still have Jose Canseco!
UPDATE: Ozzie Guillen just confirmed our worst fears:
