Can Jay Cutler and Roy Williams Co-Exist?
When the Chicago Bears signed Roy Williams, my first impression was…are you kidding me? A diva receiver to mesh with Jay Cutler? How? Why? Is this possible? I’m not going to lie. I absolutely couldn’t stand Roy Williams. I couldn’t stand his signaling a first down after every first down, doing some sort of showmanship gig after making routine catches, and the stupid hook em horns thing after his every touch(down).
My major concern? If Cutler decides to “miss” an “open” Roy Williams, is Roy Williams going to turn into a cry baby? He gave Tony Romo and the Cowboys multiple headaches, and I want no part of that for the Bears. I really hope that won’t be the case, that Roy Williams can come to an offense and thrive under Mike Martz, but I can’t be jumping up and down over it. Talented? Yes? An ego maniac? Yes. The Bears have never really stood for the me first type of WR, so I’m hoping they don’t allow it, and if Roy Williams feels like he’s going to cause some problems, I sincerely hope Cutler and the rest of the organization will shut him up.
Now- can Jay Cutler deal with a personality like Roy Williams? I don’t know. I hope so. Can I jump up and down? Not yet. Let’s see some game action first.

Jay did just fine in Denver with Marshall and he is crazy.Cutler needs a receiver that is tall and can Through over the Top of the defender to. And for Williams he hasn’t had a qb with a arm like Cutler. As far as the team goes if it doesn’t work out it wasn’t much and is only one year.
He played with Brandon Marshall in 08 I think he’ll be fine.
I agree Chance, if it fails- it’s only one year. But at the same time…I don’t know…I have my doubts that Roy Wiliams is the right guy. We’ll see though!

Thought you would find this interesting. We’re actually raising money for the charity of Roy’s selection if he promises us Bears fans that he’ll quit with the stupid first down dance. We don’t want that in Chicago…celebrate TOUCHDOWNS! not 1st downs.
