It looks like the Brett Favre rumor mill is heating back up. According to a report from Pro Football Talk, the legendary quarterback would be interested in returning to the NFL if the Chicago Bears showed any interest. Favre is currently “retired”, but we all know how he feels about that word.
Right now, the Bears need all the help they can get. Star running back Matt Forte is out up to 6 weeks with an MCL injury and Caleb Hanie is ineffective. The ol Gunslinger could give the Bears a dynamic option at quarterback and might help their playoff run.
If the Bears lose to Tim Tebow and the Broncos on Sunday, it will be do or die time for the Bears. Favre will be high risk, but he just may be the piece that makes sure the Bears get to play in the playoffs.
