Mike Martz is gone and as a Bears fan- thank goodness. This egotistical maniac was a train wreck for the Bears offense as his inability to run the ball while mixing in passes drove everyone nuts. Not to mention, his ridiculous 80 step drops with a 5 wide set and a terrible offensive line almost cost Jay Cutler his life.
Martz is siting philosophical differences in his depart, but we all know the truth. He likely will take a college coaching job for the first time ever, as he can’t hold an NFL job for more than 4 years.
I for one am insanely happy about this move as well as the Angelo firing. It’s time the Bears take a look at what the Lions and Packers are doing and get moving on this because the window for opportunity is closing.
