Preseason Game #2: Chicago Bears Beat the Washington Redskins 33-31
The Chicago Bears played their 2nd preseason game against the Washington Redskins on Saturday. The Bears were hoping for a better game than they had against the Denver Broncos when they lost 31-3 last weekend. However, QB Jay Cutler, DE Julius Peppers, RB Matt Forte and LB Brian Urlacher were held out. Besides Urlacher – Cutler, Peppers and Forte were held out because of the weather conditions. The Bears did have a better game against the Redskins:

My observations from the game:
*The offense looks amazing with Cutler throwing, Forte/Bush running, and Brandon Marshall/Devin Hester/Earl Bennett/Alshon Jeffery catching. I bet I’ll be able to say that week in, week out for once in my life.
*Hester has looked great and the best I’ve ever seen him.
*The offensive line actually didn’t look bad and hopefully that keeps up.
*The defensive line pressured Griffin for the time he was in and he did not look comfortable.
*Gould still looks good as gold.
*Hopefully the safety depth is okay, come the regular season.
*The defense looked good for the most of the game, until the 4th quarter. But remember, that’s all back-ups and mostly players whom won;t make the team.
*TE Evan Rodriguez has looked great, but if he’s going to be featured in the backfield as a fullback, he better get down on his blocks and not pushed backwards.
*Johnathan Wilhite looked very bad and looks like he’s on the outside looking in for a roster spot.
*At least Josh McCown is the 3rd string QB now because he did not look great tonight.
Injuries in-game:
S Chris Conte- shoulder (did not return)
