Casey Coleman Has No Future with the Cubs
Casey Coleman drew a lot of excitement from the Cubs fanbase last year over his “strong” finish. The Chicago Cubs themselves thought Coleman was going to be part of the future. I’m here to throw some water on that fire…again.
Casey Coleman is mediocre. I’m sorry. There isn’t anything exciting about his stuff and the book is out. Coleman has been given an opportunity to be part of the future- and has fumbled that opportunity. The Cubs know what they have.
There’s nothing wrong with Coleman maybe being a long man/journeyman type guy. A lot of players are and I give them credit. However, there is no way the Cubs are going to succeed with Coleman battling for a 5 spot. Serious upgrades are needed and Trey McNutt needs to take that leap to the big leagues next year.
The future of Casey Coleman in Chcago is very bleak.
