The Debut of Whoops, the Carl Crawford Apology Song
I would venture a guess and say Red Sox fans are extremely upset about last night. I would also say Carl Crawford will take much of the blame. The former Tampa Bay Rays outfielder signed a 142 million dollar contract with the Red Sox this offseason and he didn’t do squat to earn that money. His forgettable season came to a climax last night as Crawford missed a diving catch that could have prevented a Red Sox loss. Alas, he missed the ball and the Orioles won. About 3 minutes later, Evan Longoria hit a walk-off home run in Tampa and the Red Sox season was over.
Don’t worry Boston fans, there is something that may make you feel better. Thanks to NBC Sports, we are able to bring you the debut of Whoops. This is also known as the Carl Crawford apology song. This won’t make the season last any longer and the Sox won’t get any of Crawford’s money back, but it is good for a cheap laugh or two. Let’s just hope Crawford rebounds next year. I’m not sure the sequel song could top the original.
