New York Post Takes Shot at Yankees Third Baseman Alex Rodriguez With Photo of Muammar Gaddafi’s Death
It’s one thing to criticize New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez for his inability to come through in the clutch during the postseason–but to take a shot at him over the brutal death of Muammar Gaddafi? That may be taking things a little too far.
On Friday, The New York Post–who is no stranger to controversial photos–decided to throw themselves into controversy again by posting the picture of the man wearing the Yankees cap holding a gun next to Gaddafi’s head with “Gunman had more hits than A-Rod” written below it. Even though Gaddafi’s killing had nothing to do with sports, it still generated quite the buzz in the sports world after one of the supposed “killers” was wearing a Yankees hat in the photo–which is why The New York Post decided to poke fun at the incident.
The New York Post has displayed their fair-share of controversial photos over the years–but this may be one of their most controversial photos of all time. Even if it is someone like Gaddafi, this is still a man’s life we’re talking about here and to take a shot at Rodriguez this way seems like a new low for the company.
