It’s always fun when members of a sports team put their pride aside to do something embarrassing–whether it’s dressing in ridiculous outfits or putting together a music video that makes them the laughing stock of the internet. As for these members of the Danbury Whalers minor league hockey team, they decided to go all out by performing a routine from the smash hit “Jersey Boys” to promote their home opener against the New Jersey Outlaws on Thursday.

Not many people have the guts to participate in something like this–so these players deserve all of the credit in the world. The video starts off with a member of the Whalers ticket office taking calls for Thursday’s opener against the Outlaws before making the transition of selling two tickets for the hit musical to another employee of the team.

From there, four players begin lip-syncing “Walk Like a Man” while attempting to dance at the same time. Overall, a pretty funny video and hopefully this type of marketing pays off for the Whalers when it comes to selling tickets.

Thanks to Greg Wyshynski of Yahoo! Sports for the tip on the video.
