Video: Argentine Player Gets His Face Stepped on With Cleat During Soccer Game
It’s one thing to get hurt during a soccer game–but to have your face stepped on? That has to be one of the most painful injuries ever suffered–especially if the other player is wearing a soccer cleat.
The video above shows Cristiano Diaz of Newell’s Old Boys taking a cleat to the face during a recent game against All Boys. Diaz was accidentally tripped up by a defender before becoming the unfortunate victim of having his face stepped on shortly afterward when the defender was quickly trying to re-gain control of the ball.
Obviously, this has to be one of the most intense injuries in all of sports considering how much pain Diaz must have felt when this whole thing happened. However, Diaz deserves all of the credit in the world for managing to walk off the field on his own.
Thanks to Yahoo! Sports for the tip on the video.
