Earlier this week, one of the main stories from the sports world involved a die-hard Houston Texans fan that recently got a tattoo of his favorite team’s logo with a message surrounding it that read “Super Bowl XLVI Champions.” While this fan still has a few months before he finds out whether or not this was a mistake, there’s one Texas Rangers fan that made a similar decision–which obviously backfired on his end.
The photo above shows a Rangers fan that decided to get a tattoo of the team’s logo with “World Champs 2011″ written around it. As baseball fans know, the Rangers lost the final two games of the World Series to the St. Louis Cardinals despite entering Game 7 with a 3-2 lead and were even one out away from clinching their first World Series title in franchise history.
Still, this has to be embarrassing for this fan and shows why there are no guarantees when it comes to sports–so it would be best to stay away from getting something in ink before it actually happens. Thanks to Yahoo! Sports for the photo above.
