Carolina Panthers Coach Ron Rivera Says Trick Play Inspired by “Little Giants” Movie

According to Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera, the trick play that put the Panthers up 21-0 over the Houston Texans was inspired by the movie Little Giants.
In all my years covering football, granted not very long, I have never seen a more awesome story than this.
Dead Spin first reported the story.
Not only is that the coolest thing I’ve ever heard from an NFL head coach, but it hits close to home as the movie was one of my child hood favorites; I grew up a Giants fan.
