Video: 59-Year Old Grandma Wins Truck After Making 114-Foot Goal
Talk about your all-time backfires.
When I picked up a hockey stick for the first time this year, I nearly fell on my face. When 59-year old women pick up a stick for the first time, they are winning trucks. Brenda Hewitt won a brand new F-150 after she made a shot from 114 feet away.
The Federal Hockey League’s, Akwesasne Warriors held the promotion, with the help of Frenchie’s Ford. I’m sure Frenchie’s Ford didn’t expect GrandMa-Ma to zoom one in from 114 feet away, but they were true to their word. Scott Coupal, who is the manager of Frenchie’s Ford said:
“She had been in to get some service work done to her old truck, and had said ‘God, I wish I could afford a new truck mine is falling apart,”
He also talked her into coming out to go for the goal. As I said, talk about your all-time backfires.
