Photo: Football Fan Placed $44,000 Bet On Wisconsin Beating Oregon in Rose Bowl
If you’re a Wisconsin Badgers fan that’s upset about your team losing to the Oregon Ducks in this year’s Rose Bowl–just be glad you didn’t lose $44,000 on the game like the guy from the photo above.
As you can see, someone by the name of Michael Iberis thought it would be a good idea to place the large bet on Wisconsin coming up on the winning end against Oregon and he has to be kicking himself after the Badgers fell to the Ducks 45-38. To think that someone could place such a large bet considering some people don’t even make that much money off of a salary is ridiculous, but Iberis made the bet and he’s now out an extra $44,000.
And if you think being out of that much money is bad, just wait until you see some of the comments made by Iberis on his Facebook page over the devastating loss. Thanks to Bleacher Report for a heads up on the story.

Bo if you read the receipt it says “Win 40,000 to pay 84,000″ So he would be paid 84,000 and won 40,000 extra on top of his initial bet. Don’t know how you missed the 84,000 considering it is on the same line.

He placed a 40k bet but since it was a str8 bet there’s what u call “juice” which is 10% of the amount ur betting..so 40k plus 10% (4k) = 44k..the juice is for the casino/bookie considering a str8 bet is easier and more likely to win over a parlay which is a bet that consists of more than one team..I guess this is a story that only ppl that kno how sports betting works would understand..
