Rapper Birdman to Bet $5 Million on Super Bowl
American rapper, record producer and businessman Bryan “Birdman” Williams said via Twitter that he plans on wagering $5 million on the New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl.
After taking out some of the profane words, the tweet was translated to this: “”I like New England because BenJarvus Green-Ellis is my nephew. I plan on wagering $5 million on the game to anyone who wants the action.”
Birdman is the co-founder of Cash Money Records and formed the duo Big Tymers with DJ Mannie Fresh. According to Forbes, he earned $15 million in 2011 and his approximated net worth is $100 million. He also once told Forbes magazine that he tries to wear at least $1 million in jewelry and clothing every day. Remember, this is the same guy who spent $2.5 million on a Bugatti Veyron a couple years ago.
There is no doubt Birdman has enough money to go through with this and I really hope someone out there is willing to take him up on his wager. This wouldn’t be the first time he made a major bet on sports. Last year, he lost $2 million on the Miami Heat but won $1 million on the Green Bay Packers winning the Super Bowl. He also claims that when the Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao fight takes place he will wager $10 million on Mayweather to defeat Pacman. You better get your money ready Birdman because that fight could be scheduled as early as May 5th.
